A crown is typically used to entirely cover a damaged tooth. In addition to strengthening a damaged tooth, a crown will improve the look, shape, and alignment of your teeth.
Bridges, on the other hand, are commonly used to replace one or more missing teeth.
Dr. Heck will make an impression of your teeth which she uses to make an exact mold for the crown or bridge. Your appliance is made in our in-house dental lab. Because we do all the work in our own lab, we significantly reduce the time it takes to create your new custom crown or bridge.
In our experience, the most realistic crown manufactured today is made of a material called E-Max. These crowns are so life-like that patients and even staff are often unable to pick out which tooth is the crown. We try to use the E-Max material whenever possible.
